A mandolin and guitar duo putting their own spin on the sounds of Blues, Country and Americana.
From the up tempo noodling of the Grateful Dead, to the haunting melodies of Gillian Welch, and
soulful slide tones of Ry Cooder, nothing is off-limits for this talented duo.
The duo is composed of Vivian Li on Vocals and Mandolin, and Richard Barnes on Electric and
Slide Guitar
Vivian Li
After catching the bluegrass bug and picking up her first mandolin while living in New York City,
Vivian has been playing mandolin ever since. Taking inspiration from across genres, her
influences range from Doc Watson, and David Grisman, to Chet Atkins and Django Reinhardt.
Outside of 2Meatballs, she can also be found in venues around London playing with bluegrass
band Lunch Special and gypsy jazz trio Swing Train 42.
Richard Barnes

Richard is British guitarist who cut his teeth on London’s live music scene before moving to
Beijing, China. He gigged relentlessly playing almost every genre under the sun in line ups ranging
from duo’s to 8-pieces. Now back in London he can be found in venues playing funk, soul, pop
and rock, with the The Funky Waves, metal with Maiden Effort and original music with the London
Beat Club.
His main influences include David Gilmour, Guthrie Govan, Mark Lettieri, Adrian Smith, Derek
Trucks, Jerry Garcia and Jeff Beck.
